After the five games the 1st from pool A will play the 2nd from pool B and the 1st from pool B will play the 2nd from pool A. The winners will playoff for the 1st and 2nd cash prizes and the runner-ups will playoff for the 3rd and 4th prize money. Also note that each team will be awarded $15 for a win and the ‘left over funds’ are then awarded to the top 4 teams.
Draws: Edmonton Draw and Calgary Draw to be completed on Friday evening at the club.
Lunches will NOT be provided.
Club Hospitality: Coffee and tea may be available in the mornings and at lunchtime but will be confirmed on Friday evening. Depending on the temperatures, water should be available out by the greens all day long. The Bar will be open from noon onward.
Drawmaster: Pat Vos/Roy Riege (at Commonwealth) and John Baxter (Rotary Park)
Umpire: there will be no umpires for the tournament; players are encouraged to help each other out if required.
Practice times: The clubs will be open at 3 pm for any team that wishes to come early and practice.
Smoky Air Quality Concern: Bowls Alberta Board approved following the Alberta ‘Air Quality Advisor‘ which clearly states that if the air quality is 7 or higher play should discontinue or be rescheduled. It is acknowledged that lawn bowling may not be considered strenuous but in smoky conditions the effect on our older players may be too risky. This policy may be reviewed over the winter as this is the first year it has been put into place.
Best of bowls to all players! Draw/Results will be posted above and updates posted on our Facebook page.
